Before MoneyTap, Anuj was the co-founder of SkillWiz, a skill assessment platform, which later pivoted to Tapstart- a job discovery platform. The company aimed at working with individuals to help them make better career decisions in terms of skills and jobs. SkillWizworked with college students, employees and also with a few Sector Skill Councils under the NSDC (National Skill Development Council). Their product (technology, content and assessment modules) was used across 400 cities in India, helping Sector Skill Councils assess trainees in real-time.
Before his jump into the startup world, Anuj spent his early years in the advertising and creative industry, where he worked with top agencies such as Lowe and JWT. Anuj also spent five years in the telecom industry with Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel. His last role before jumping into entrepreneurship was as the Head of Customer Acquisitions for all products for Bharti Airtel – Karnataka Circle (one of the largest telecom circles), making about 1.5 Million new acquisitions a month across 1 Lakh retail touchpoints.
